+We emphasize that no research per se is pursued. The underlying idea is that by organizing seminars at which views on how to improve ocean predictions are exchanged, the seminars should lead to an increased understanding of the weaknesses and strengths of the different forecast systems used by the various partners, and thereby lead to possibilities for efficient refinements and improvements. Another important outcome is that the seminars should lead to collaborative research proposals and research.
