Issue Tracker

We use Bugzilla as our primary tool for tracking and prioritizing issues and bugs. The following section gives some basic description of how we use Bugzilla.

Bug Severity

Severity defines the impact of the bug on the system; i.e., the seriousness of the bug in terms of functionality. It is usually set initially by the reporter.

Who are we

A WDB developer is someone who is actually working on the project, not someone using it to develop and application or website.

What will you find here?

The information available in this section will mainly interest WDB developers. In this section, you will find the roadmap of the project, as well as coding and testing information.

Downloads

You can install WDB by compiling its source code release directly, or by installing the prepackaged binaries (if there is one for your operating system). WDB is currently in development toward 1.0; as a result, there is no attempt to keep successive updates compatible. To upgrade, one must uninstall the old version and install the new version. We do not intend to focus on maintaining compatibility across versions until we release version 1.0.

Welcome to the WDB project's home page.

WDB is a database system designed to store meteorological, hydrological and oceanographic (MHO) data in a PostgreSQL database management server. The purpose of the WDB system is to improve the quality and effectiveness of IT systems for MHO production by providing a flexible and effective data storage solution for real-time and archive data.

In this section of the website, you will find links to small (and large) utilities that can be used together with WDB for various purposes. At current we only link to products developed here at Met.no, but if you've developed a utility that can be used together with WDB, we'd love to know.
