Objective

	* to identify official value for each time where duplicates exist
	* use one value for time and space interpolations
	* all algorithms complicated by duplicates
	* avoid more lengthy bug searches

Reasons for duplicate data from a station for a give paramid and time:

Qc2 Flag Specification

Qc2 flags are already defined in the original kvalobs flag documentation with: controlinfo(7) ftime; controlinfo(8) fw; controlinfo(9) fstat; controlinfo(11) fclim; and controlinfo(12) fd; assigned completely or partly for Qc2. Corresponding specification for the behaviour of useinfo flags also exists but since there has not yet been Qc2 tests in operation there has been little testing of the setings.

Qc2 Prototype

A prototype has been developed to tackle an example Qc2 problem: the redistribution of accumulated 24 hour rainfall measurements. Details of the problem were earlier described in presentations made at ECSN 2007 and during an internal status meeting (see slides below).

Case Studies

An interesting example to test in a space-time-qc. A sudden drop (10 degrees) in temp caused by front-passage gives error message in QC1. To be granted in QC2.

This documentation is mostly for the development version 1.3.1 of kvqc2d as of 2011-12-02.

Configuration

The configuration of Qc2 algorithms is done via configuration files in the folder /etc/kvalobs/Qc2Config.
To make it easy to switch between development an production version, the development configuration files have the extension
